Our current Mission:

We are dedicated to providing decent, safe and sanitary housing to enrolled tribal members through the utilization of available grant programs.

Our current program:

The Sauk-Suiattle Housing department is currently assisting Twenty four families directly with housing assistance through rental housing, tenant based rental assistance and Act 37 housing units

Our current Activities:

An update of housing policies is currently underway with plans for finalization for council approval to be done for the July meeting. A new level of customer service is to be provided with the use of a new accounting system call Housing Data Systems (HDS). Aron Harris is in training using this system and it is being utilized to full use for billing and document generation for June 1 statement cycle. June 17 a community meeting is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Chief Brown Lane Pow-Wow area for resident and community feedback and Scheduling of home inspections, another like community meeting is scheduled for the price property in Darrington on June 18, with lunch being provided.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act have made some additional funding available to the housing department to supplement our Housing dollars. These funds are going to be used to weatherize and update our existing housing stock
