TRIBAL GOVERNMENT RECORDING SECRETARY
Pay - $15 - $19 per hour DOE

Summary: Provide clerical support services for the SSIT Tribal Council government as linked to the Tribe’s Administrative unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains confidentiality of records and information.
Attends Tribal Council meetings to operate the recording equipment.
Prepare Tribal Council Minutes, Agenda, and notices to include the following: transcribe minutes form tape recordings of meetings; copies and collates minutes for Tribal Council; gathers information from Tribal Organization, Council Members, and Tribal Members to be entered into the Tribal Council Agenda. Types and sends or routes notices of meetings under the direction of the Tribal Council Secretary or Chairman or General Manager.
Collect, photocopy, collate and bind any written material as needed by the Tribal Council.
Notary responsibility.
Attends Tribal Council meetings as directed. Primary function would be to operate recording equipment and transcribe or type minutes.
Performs receptionist and secretarial support services for the Tribal Council Chairman, Tribal Council Secretary and other tribal government activities.
Performs clerical support services for the Tribal Council Chairman, Secretary, and officials according to the Tribal Council standards and ethics, working cooperatively with the Administrative unit staff members.
Works independently, keeping the original legal records organized and accessible to the Administrative unit and Tribal Government officials.
Maintains the original records of the Tribal Council in organized files, including but not limited to Resolutions, Minutes, Codes, Ordinances, Policy Manuals, Contracts, Agreements, Title of Ownership, legal issues, national organizations, etc.
Maintains minutes, resolutions, and other legal documents of the Tribal Council Government.
Coordinates meetings, sets-up, schedules and prepares notices of meetings under the direction of the General Manager, Chief Administrative Officer, Secretary or other tribal officials.
Analyze and prioritize incoming, outgoing, and in-house transference of mail and faxes of the Tribal Government. Analysis will take into consideration whether official TC responses are needed.
Develop and implement a Tribal Council “Records Retention Schedule and Policies” that define the procedures for maintaining tribal government records.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED or equivalent. Must have at least two years of professional experience at administrative clerical support level and strong organizational skills. Thorough understanding and knowledge of legal documents, archival documents, and filing of records for maintenance or storage.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet software and recording equipment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Washington State driver’s license. First Aid/CPR certification. Public Notary.

Summary: Operates a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties. Greets visitors and notify staff of there arrival. Sort through incoming mail. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
· Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
· Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
· Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information as needed.
· Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
· Monitors visitor access.
· Maintains calendar of all staff activities, i.e. trainings, meetings, etc.
· Route incoming mail to appropriate personnel.
· Assist Tribal Chairman in drafting correspondence and sorting through the Chairman’s mail.
· Receives tribal mail and sort’s mail, routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
· Responsible for processing out going mail, i.e. weighing and stamping.
· Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes.
· Takes payments of all checks and cash and prepares cash receipts.
· Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies as needed.
· Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary.
· Performs clerical support as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
· Maintain confidentiality.
· Attends staff meetings.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

Summary: The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with the Clinical Director/Physician to provide a wide range of primary care services which encompasses health promotion, injury and illness prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of commonly encountered health problems and injuries, monitoring of stable chronic health problems, and community development and advocacy. Performs testing, referral to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. These services are provided within a holistic, patient care-centered framework to patients of all ages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Determines and assesses the health status of patients by reviewing records, taking comprehensive medical histories, and performing physical examinations; and records findings.
· Initiates, performs and directs other nurses to perform screening and diagnostic tests, including blood draws, cultures, skin tests, pap smears, and other procedures appropriate for patient’s condition.
· Performs routine laboratory work and other tests, and interprets results; or arranges for such procedures at other facilities.
· Plans and oversees on-going treatment and clinical management and general health maintenance of patients.
· Informs, counsels and instructs individuals and families on their specific health problems, test results, and general health-related matters such as nutrition, birth control, social behavior, growth and development, aging and substance abuse.
· Acts as a clinical consultant to medical, nursing, paramedical personnel; consults and confers with a wide variety of health and related care providers, such as public health nurses, social workers and mental health workers.
· Consults with physicians regarding patient’s conditions, diagnosis, treatment plan, medication orders and need for specialty care; keeps physician advised of patient status as necessary.
· Prescribes medications according to proper clinical care and standards of practice.
· Recognizes situations requiring a specialist referral, and provides a letter of consultation to that specialist to ensure continuity of care.
· Provides emergency medical treatment when necessary.
· Prepares and maintains complete and accurate charts, case files, records and other documents; reviews material prepared by other staff for completeness and accuracy.
· Attends, participates in, and contributes to in-services education and staff training sessions to maintain and increase skills, and to teach others.
· Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Work is performed under the general direction of the Clinical Director/Physician. This position requires consistent, sound judgment and the ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision.
The supervisor outlines the overall program objectives and priorities, time limit, and financial resources available. The employee plans and schedules recurring work, handles routine problems, and completes work using own initiative. Exercises professional knowledge and judgment in interpreting guidelines and applicability. Work is reviewed from an overall standpoint in terms of meeting objectives, effectiveness, and compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Experience, Education
Minimum Qualifications
· Must possess or be able to obtain a Washington State Registered Nursing License and Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, REQUIRED. Submit a copy with application.
· Supervisory experience, REQUIRED.
· Basic Life Support certification, REQUIRED. Submit a copy of certification with application.
· Proficient in phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining intravenous access to patient.
· Must have ability to complete required documentation and required written follow-up.
· Must submit to and clear a Criminal Background check.
· Must submit to and clear an Alcohol/Drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
· Three years experience working in a clinic setting is recommended.
· Flexible work schedule with possible nights, weekends, or on-call overage is strongly preferred.
· Positive working experience with Native Americans in a related field will be given preference.
· Computer experience, specifically with RPMS systems.

SOCIAL WORKER

Summary: This job consists of working with Tribal children and families. Case Management, referral services, crises intervention, working with State of Washington Child Protective Services, and other State agencies. Court reports, court presentations, and assisting parents with following court ordered services.
Experience in medical social work preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Help children and family through individual or group conferences to understand, accept, and follow reunification and court recommendations.
Utilize community resources to assist children and families.
Prepares client histories, service plans, and reports.
Responsible for drug and alcohol prevention for Tribal youth.
Coordination with ICW program to insure that children in dependency are actively engaged in Tribal recreational activities and Tribal prevention activities.
Other duties as assigned.
