JOB TITLE: Executive Director DURATION: Minimum 3 month trial period: Possible 5 -10 yr contract REPORTS TO: SSIT Trust Corporation Board of Directors COMPANY: SSIT Trust Corporation Status: Salaried PAY: DOE CLOSES: 01/31/2011 Indian Preference Applies Summary: The Executive Director is primarily responsible to carry out the strategic plans and policies as established by the SSIT - Trust Corporation board of directors. Executive Director reports to the board of directors. Implement and maintain compliance of board established policies and procedures, goals, business ventures, to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service at subsidiaries Mountain Loop Country Store and Two Rivers Smoke Shop and any future SSIT Trust Corporation enterprises. Coordinate with all subsidiary managers to ensure maximum returns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following: · Products and Services Delivery -- To develop, implement and manage the approved policies and procedures, strategic goals and objectives as directed by the SSIT- Trust Corporation. · Work with the board of directors in the development of annual operations plan. · Research potential business opportunities to make recommendations to the board of directors. · Conduct or contract for a feasibility study for recommendations to the SSIT- Trust Corporation for future enterprises. · Compiles and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use, and prepares or requisitions graphic and narrative reports on data. · Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services for current and future enterprises. · Collaborate with all subsidiary managers to ensure maximum returns, plan expansion and/or improvements of current and future enterprises. · Seek, establish and maintain SSIT-Trust Corporations certification for 8(a) and Hub Zone contracting. · Actively participate in thorough review of the business with subsidiary managers to monitor the business and react to risks and opportunities. · Re-cap, analyze and forecast actual sales results to make recommendations to the board of directors for future planning. · Ensures that the appropriate environmental impact reports (i.e. ESA, EAs, EIS’s, BSA) are completed for planning projects and programs. · Assists with and/or give recommendations for new land acquisitions. · Coordinates Fee to Trust applications with OLC and other departments as needed. · Develops and recommends land use policies for approval by Board of Directors. · Coordinates with local authorities, civic leaders, other appropriate agencies and planning development specialists to devise and recommend the highest and best use of land which will maximize return on investments. · Recommends governmental measures affecting land use, community facilities, and housing and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal. Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management -- Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manage organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations. Community and Public Relations -- Assures the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders. Fundraising (for profit-specific) -- Oversees fundraising planning and implementation, as approved by Board of Directors, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation. · Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities · Supervise, hire, recruit, train, develop, coach and communicate with subsidiary managers to ensure the best customer experience. · Establish and maintain hiring practices including Indian preference practices for subsidiary managers and current and/or future contractors as approved by SSIT- Trust Corporation. · Serve as mediator for dispute resolution for severe customer and employee issues.

Education and/or Experience
· Successful owned and operated a small business, preferred.

Job Description
Position: CONVENIENCE STORE/GAS STATION MANAGER Date: January, 2011 Rate of pay: DOE Reports to: Trust Corporation Chair or Executive Director
Job Summary: The Store manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, ordering and organization of the facility including scheduling, training and supervising employees and an assistant manager. The Store manager is responsible for the store image, store profits and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels and cash and inventory shortages.
List of Responsibilities: Determine merchandise to carry or to discontinue based on market trends, research, customer preferences and vendor terms; recommend and initiate marketing, advertising and promotional activities; establish and maintain effective customer relations. Determine stock requirements for Convenience Store/Gas Station; prepare specifications for merchandise purchases; order merchandise as needed; interact with all vendors in a positive manner; oversee compliance with vendor contracts; ensure that sufficient quantities of merchandise are ordered in a timely manner according to procedures; monitor the receiving of goods; maintain inventory control within the store to ensure adequate stock levels and to minimize waste and pilferage; establish and monitor store security policies and procedures. Comply with Shell station policies; stay current with Shell marketing programs and promotions; make certain that the store and staff are prepared for random Shell mystery shoppers. Oversee and control all funds, including debit, credit and cash operations. Prepare operational reports and analyses setting forth store progress, adverse trends and, as appropriate, make recommendations and draw conclusions; develop, recommend and implement policies and procedures related to store’s operation; propose procurement/ maintenance/repair/replacement of equipment and facilities instrumental to operations; keep abreast of new and changing techniques in the field of retail services. Plan, schedule, supervise and ensure proper distribution of work assignments and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts; oversee space and facilities for performance of tasks; oversee the training and development of retail clerks, warehouse workers, groundskeepers and assistants. Recommend and participate in various personnel functions to include job postings, job descriptions, hiring, training, performance appraisals, promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations. Maintain a positive public image of the Operation by ensuring there is a safe, hygienic, well organized, attractive interior and exterior environment and that employees project a good level of customer service practices. Communicate with the SSIT Trust Corporation Board Chair or Executive Director on a regular basis and/or as necessary. Work closely with the Trust Corporation’s Chair or Executive Director on a day-to-day basis. Provide the Trust Corporation with monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested. Perform other related duties as assigned that are incidental to the work described herein. Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of a convenience store/gas station or related retail store operation. In addition, other retail, merchandising or related business management would be helpful. This is not a trainee position. Applicants must have the skills necessary to manage convenience/gas station, its personnel, and be able to plan and participate in duties associated with merchandising, ordering, pricing, displaying, selling and maintaining inventory to ensure an efficient and economically sound convenience store operation, as is detailed above.
Mathematical, computer and communication skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts, using calculators and computers, in order to determine sales, discounts, interest, percentages. Also, the individual must be able to prepare charts, make graphs, sales reports, proposals and comparisons, compose letters, read and understand contracts and agreements, and must understand POS systems.
To perform this job successfully, the successful applicant also must have knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet and word processing software, including Excel and Quick Books, and related specialized software programs such as the SSCS and other POS systems.

Position: CASHIER Date: January, 2011 Reports to: Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager Pay rate: $8.67/hr minimum
Job Summary A Cashier is responsible for providing excellent service to store customers per company standards, generating sales, maintaining high housekeeping standards, having good product knowledge, merchandising and pricing products, preventing losses, and adhering to all company policies and store standards.
Cashiers must be available to work any shift to which they are assigned. The minimum age of cashiers is 21 years. All applicants will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment background check and may be required to successfully pass a drug screening.
